Racism...today!
Racism is usually defined as views, practices and actions reflecting the belief that humanity is divided into distinct biological groups called races and that members of a certain race share certain attributes which make that group as a whole less desirable, more desirable, inferior or superior. This is how the dictionary defines racism. RIDICULOUS... this should be the proper definition of racism.
We are in the 21st century and still today there are acts of discrimination between people. America, Europe and all over the world, fights, prejudice, discriminations, bullyism and inequality in treatment occur between us brothers.
Color skin, language, customs, religion or ethnical group are the main reason for which in 2013 wars and slavery are active.
Hate is considered the principle cause of racism. But why should we hate people of different countries, nation or race? Why should we pick on innocents because they don't have our same origins?
There is no response to this answer if not that we shouldn't.
Unfortunately, there is no "cure" for racism, except common sense. Therefore, I invite you people to think carefully of all the negative aspects of racism and of how it is useless in a society where in our difference, we are all the same
The beauty of difference is what makes us, in the world we live in, special or particular!
When we talk about a "cure" or a solution to racism, I think the first step is talking about it, recognizing it as a problem, and educating ourselves and those around us.
RispondiEliminaI like your last line about the beauty of difference! :)
